This elegant swan drifts serenely along the Delaware Canal at Washington Crossing. The setting sun illuminates its tail feathers with a soft, translucent glow. Warm, amber water radiates outward in ripples that catch the day’s fading light.

"Radiating Grace"

What is Grace?
Beauty of countenance
Elegance of form
Grace is all of this
But so much more

What is Grace?
It radiates outward
To those who don’t deserve
A comforting touch
Or an encouraging word

What is Grace?
It is God’s domain
To heal all our wounds
To cover our shame

What is Grace?
Life’s most precious gift
It saves our spirits
With a heavenward lift

What is Grace?
It’s forgiveness of sin
We forget our past
Become clean from within

What is Grace?
A transformation so deep
The basest of creatures
Divine glory may reap
