"In the Limelight"

The stage is set
The curtain is raised
The audience grows silent
Ready to be amazed

The star of the show
Noble to the core
A most worthy subject
Every artist looks for

He readies his haunches
He steadies his stance
His feet begin moving
To his own private dance

He canters, he gallops
He bucks and he sways
Born to be wild
For all of his days

No saddle will tame him
No bridle will hold
This gadabout stallion
With outlook so bold

You sit back and wait
For the star’s final display
As he rears back defiant
And ends his horseplay
