Trees are one of my favorite subjects to paint, especially in the fall.  This old oak can be found on the east side of Washington Crossing Park near the soccer field.  It’s a very simple scene, but the variety of colors and the sharp contrast of the cool shadows with the bright morning light provided a vivid source of inspiration.
