I always enjoy painting horses, and this piece was no exception.  The photo that inspired it was actually taken on an overcast day, but this fellow’s noble pose seemed to demand a spotlight.  I wanted this piece to have a theatrical feel, to give this graceful animal the stage and attention he deserves.
