The first place Sara ever took me to was Goat Hill Overlook in New Jersey.  It was actually a bit chilly, but we had some nice hot stew and a blanket to keep us warm.  Two years later and we’re getting married so I painted this piece as a wedding present for Sara.  The whole painting went pretty smoothly.  The color relationships were fun to play with, although the atmosphere in the distance took a bit of reworking.  Overall, I think it captures the romantic mood of that day.
