This is the companion piece to “Into the Light.”  I loved the mysterious feeling in this scene and the way the bird was framed so perfectly by the foreground leaves and misty sunlight.  It was a challenge making the foreground interesting, but once I started adding the blue and green leaves the whole painting came together smoothly.
