Here’s what the artist had to say about this artwork:
I’ve wanted to paint a storm scene for a while now and after hurricane Laura devastated my hometown it brought the idea back to my mind. I chose this image because of the puddles in the foreground.  It was actually difficult to find the right tones for those puddles, but once I did, everything came together smoothly.  The clouds were probably my favorite part and make this painting one of my most enjoyable to date.  I hope it portrays the awe and relief we feel after a storm.
