Here’s what the artist had to say about this artwork:
This is the first landscape I painted after moving to Pennsylvania. Sara and I took a walk along the Lambertville towpath but had to stop at this puddle, struck by the mist and the reflections in the water. It was a dreary day but being together lent it a sense of adventure, and I strove to capture that in this piece. The green vines hint at the arrival of spring and remind us that dreary days cannot last forever.
