Here’s what the artist had to say about this artwork:

I wanted to paint another sunset piece that contrasted well with “Light in the Forest” and chose this scene because of the dramatic lighting and colorful clouds.  The deep oranges and reds really appealed to me after so much green and yellow and the clouds were a lot of fun to create.  The most difficult part of this painting was blending the range of colors in the sky but I think the end result was worth the struggle.
