Description
Here’s what the artist had to say about these artworks:
“Radiating Grace”
It is said swans mate for life. I don’t know if that’s true, but there’s been a pair living on the canal at Washington Crossing for quite some time. They’re creatures of such grace and beauty that it was a delight to paint them. I enjoyed the challenge of capturing the movement in the water and the translucent glow of the feathers.
“Reflecting Grace”
This is the companion piece to “Radiating Grace.” That painting was a challenge because of all the movement, this one was a challenge because of the reflection. My favorite part was creating the streaks and spots of sunlight on the water. I wanted both this piece and “Radiating Grace” to have a magical quality, and the way the setting sun skimmed across the water made that easy.</div>
