Description
This is a one-of-a-kind, original artwork by Artist Timothy Stanford. Copyright and reproduction rights are reserved by the artist. As with any indoor artwork, avoid exposure to direct sunlight and moisture.
Here’s what the artist had to say about this artwork:
Built in the 1830s, the Delaware River wing dams at Lambertville and New Hope help keep the current swift in the center. They also create some of the most dangerous rapids on the river. The dams are usually above water, with various tree trunks and other debris caught and stuck on top. Last year, the water got so high the dams flooded, and the surging, white water washed all but a single tree away. I couldn’t resist painting the scene.
