One of my mom’s favorite animals is a rooster.  She has chicken decorations all through her kitchen and I thought it would be fun to paint one for the channel.  I really enjoyed all the detail work in the face and comb.  Usually, such intricate strokes can be tedious, but this painting flowed really smoothly.  Only the feathers were a bit troublesome, but I think the touches of green added something out of the ordinary to this piece.
