Bears can look so human at times, it’s a little unnerving.  This guy was no exception, but it took a lot of reworking to get his face and expression just right.  I wanted the whole painting to evoke a quiet contentment, like a peaceful Sunday morning just after dawn.  The simple background and small flowers in the foreground were a fun touch of color for this piece.
