Even after “Tranquil Path” I still felt like I needed a break so I thought it would be fun to do a calm vacation scene.  The most challenging part of this piece was getting the light on the water right.  I actually tried doing a boat at first but got rid of it and painted the tent and campfire instead.  I’m not a huge camping fan—I’m too concerned about bear attacks—but it’d be nice to get lost in this scene for a while and I hope the viewer feels the same way!
